About Us

There are a number of open schooling boards running in India that provide an opportunity to students to pursue education in spite of financial hurdles, familial issues, and a variety of problems. Open schooling Boards provide a vast opportunity to students who perhaps cannot afford or dedicate to regular schooling. However, as education is the basic right for any citizen, and it must not be denied due to any reason, as education is the utmost priority for any person and thus we have established the Delhi Institute of Open Schooling. Its mandate is to “Reach the Unreached” in terms of Education & Skills, in India, through Open & Distance learning modes. It provides a special focus on marginalized socio-economic and religious sections for the purpose of their integration with the mainstream through relevant educational and skill development interventions.

Delhi Institute of Open Schooling is an autonomous body which is established for the development of education under the guidelines of the national education policy and programme of action 1992, Govt of India. The prime objective of the board is to extend help and support to the weaker section of society, with special emphasis on girls’ education. It has been established under Act XXI of 1860 of govt. of India. Delhi Institute of Open schooling gives a platform to those who have a thirst for books and yet couldn’t pursue regular schooling. DIOS creates a space where one can complete their education and create a structured foundation for himself/herself which will help him/her in the outer world. This institute of open schooling is passionate and dedicated to education, and our aim is to reach the downtrodden section of society.
